MID-SIZED 2x8" LINE ARRAY SYSTEM

The Red Baron RB281 is a highly modular and fully scalable line array system. It consists of one full-range module with 90° horizontal coverage. Thanks to its acoustic and mechanical modularity, it can be utilized in a wide variety of applications, from small to large venues, where pattern control and long-throw reinforcement with a mid-format box size are required.

An optimal solution in terms of size (reducing transportation costs) and capabilities.

All Favo products are weatherized and covered with a thick Polyurea coating.

FAVO RB281 LINE ARRAY MODULE
 
The FAVO RB281 is a sound module based on two 8" neodymium speakers and two 1.7" VC neodymium line waveguides, independently powered in Bi-Amp mode. It forms the foundation for building larger systems, whose speakers create a line array. A set of 8 modules (or more) can generate a wave as close to cylindrical as possible across the full usable frequency range.
 
Each module weighs only 21kg, which means 136kg for 6 modules with the frame and 262kg for 12 modules with the frame - lighter packages = lower handling and transport costs.
 
The frame and angle adjustment system allow the line of modules to be set in the desired geometry while maintaining the center of gravity, with the ability to tilt the modules up to 12 degrees per element. The frame allows for single or dual-point hanging as well as stacking. When stacked, the system can be tilted by 10 degrees towards the audience.
 
Since 2020, systems based on RB281 modules are available for sale only in combination with FAVO MD Series amplifiers with integrated DSP processors. 
 
A typical MD2 Amprack, which can handle up to 16 RB281 modules and up to 8 2x18" subwoofer modules, consists of one eight-channel MD4820 amplifier with 20kW power, one four-channel MD4420 amplifier with 20kW power, an input/output panel, and a power distributor. Each amplifier has four analog inputs, an AES input, and optionally 8in/8out DANTE. Full control is possible both from the front panels of the amplifiers and via Ethernet using the System Engineer software.
