COMPACT 1x8" LINE ARRAY SYSTEM

The Duke D181 is a highly modular and fully scalable line array system. It consists of two full-range modules with 80° (D181N – narrow) or 110° (D181W – wide) horizontal coverage. Thanks to its acoustic and mechanical modularity, it can be utilized in a wide variety of applications, from small to large venues, where pattern control and long-throw reinforcement with a small-format box size are required.

All Favo products are weatherized and covered with a thick Polyurea coating.

Maximum clarity, intelligibility, and exceptional linear characteristics in both magnitude (SPL/frequency) and phase (time domain) are achieved through highly accurate iso-phase HF waveguides and a mid-range speaker divider. The system offers high-fidelity output using top-quality European made components and craftsmanship. The nominal dispersion angles remain constant across the widest possible frequency range. These speakers are designed for medium-power broadband speech and music applications, whether used in full range or paired with FAVO subwoofers when low frequency extension is necessary.
 
Rugged, ergonomic, user-friendly rigging hardware and accessories enable fast, accurate enclosure angle adjustments in one-degree increments from 0° to 12°. The same frame is used for both flying and subwoofer stacking. Additional platforms allow placing up to four modules on a speaker pole or fix to the subwoofer with an M20 thread.
 

FAVO MD2 Amprack can handle up to 24 D181 modules and up to 8 2x18" subwoofer modules, consists of one eight-channel MD4820 amplifier with 20kW power, one four-channel MD4420 amplifier with 20kW power, an input/output panel, and a power distributor. Each amplifier has four analog inputs, an AES input, and optionally 8in/8out DANTE. Full control is possible both from the front panels of the amplifiers and via Ethernet using the System Engineer software.

 

Smaller sets consisting of 12x D181 modules and 8x 1x18" subwoofers (e.g., MBR118) can be powered by just one FAVO MD4820 amplifier!

 

The design and applied technologies fully adhere to the principles of line array systems, which is essential for accurate sound reproduction over long distances. The high-frequency sources are equipped with isophase waveguides, which have been thoroughly researched and tested to achieve a sound wave as close to cylindrical as possible with controlled directivity.

The research and measurements conducted at the IFAA laboratory in Germany have also resulted in GLL files that allow for acoustic simulation in Focus 3 and EASE software. Prediction software You can download at the bottom of this page
