WHY ARE WE USING GALLIUM NITRIDE (GaN) TRANSISTORS IN GN SERIES AMPLIFIERS?

The Core Component for Power Electronics Gallium nitride (GaN) is driving a progressive shift across the power electronics landscape. For many years, silicon-based MOSFETs (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors) have been a fundamental element of our modern everyday life, assisting in the transformation of energy into power. These characteristics not only result in less losses but also enable a significantly reduced system volume, due to decreased cooling requirements and smaller passive components contributing to the overall lower system costs.
